Painters Shirt

As I should have expected, there’s a big difference in the temperatures between Monday and today, and I’m back with another scarf. This time a little more appropriate for the conditions outside. I’m also wearing my new jeans again, because when you find jeans that are this good, you can’t only wear them once between washes.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you should know that one of my favorite things about fall and winter is that you can wear layers upon layers. And since no one really sees much of your first layer, there’s no pressure for that layer to be something name brand or fancy. So, you can still wear your favorite old grungy shirt, and no one knows that it’s almost as old as your are, and it has a collection of paint spots all over it from the many times you’ve painted rooms while wearing it, automatically dubbing it your “painters shirt.”

Then again, I’m sure I could wear it out even if there weren’t any layers covering most of it. It’s cool to shop at Goodwill and wear clothes that even your Grandparents didn’t want anymore, so why not wear your painters shirt with your favorite nice jeans and a pair of heels?
