What A Tulle

I got this pretty tulle skirt from Anthropologie to wear to a holiday party, and I really love it. I’ve been wanting a skirt similar to this one  since it first came out, and I saw a blogger style it casually with a baseball tee, scarf, and Converse. I never purchased the Ann Taylor skirt because A. cost, and B. cost per wear. The more I thought about it, I came to the conclusion that a floor length tulle ball skirt wouldn’t come in handy very often and it probably wouldn’t get much wear outside the confines of my own home, where I’d wear it for fun just because I can. So I held out, hoping that I’d find another less expensive and perhaps more wearable one.

Here it is folks, the shorter (thus more wearable), less expensive version of my aforementioned floor length love. I will note that this skirt is meant to sit high on your waist, so if you’re wanting it to chill out lower around your hips, you may need to go up a size. (However, if you want the best of both worlds, this trick isn’t only for growing baby bellies. Just sayin’.) I’ve styled the skirt two ways here. The first dressing it up a little with fancy shmancy heels, and the second being more casual.

I’ve noticed this particular skirt has become quite popular lately. If you have it, I wanna see how you wear it! Mention me on Instagram: @lydialoffer so I can see!
